Stephen Sweet (Jr.) and Dorcas Casey Descendancy:
Stephen Sweet (Jr). about 30 May 1745 in North Kingstown, Washington, R.I., son of Stephen Sweet and Anna [Baker] (Austin) Sweet of Rhode Island
FamilySearch shows he married Mary Congdon 28 Jan 1776 in North Kingstown, Washington, RI, but it also shows that he married Dorcas Joanna Casey (1749-1835) in 1773. However he would not be married to both and having children with Mary in the middle of his children with Dorcas Casey. Obvious error or combined Stephen's incorrectly.
Dorcas Joanna Casey, born 16 June 1749 in Exeter, Kings, R.I., daughter of Thomas Casey and Alice Tripp (source from Rhode Island, Town Births Index only lists her as Dorcas Casey.) She died aged 85-86 in November 1835 and is buried in the Quaker Cemetery of Pawling, Dutchess County, New York, USA. (The Government record shows he birth 16 Jun 1749, same) and death Nov 1835 in Dover Plains, Dutchess, New York, but it also is the source for her birth name being Dorcas Joanna Casey.

4. Dorcas Casey... was born in N. Kingstown 16 June 1749 and m. in Pawling, Stephen, born 30 March 1745, the son of Stephen and Anna [Baker (not included)] (Austin) Sweet of Rhode Island. Stephen Sweet was taxed i Pawling in 1777-78. On 8 Dec 1804 he and his wife Dorcas gave a mortgage to John R. Livingston of Rhinebeck on a farm in Pawling. The farm was 332 1/4 acres and was located on the line of lots 14 and 15 at the NE corner of Jonathan Hustis. The farm bounded John Tallman and woodlots 2, 3, 4, and 5. [M 10:167]. He was listed in Pawling in 1790 at 3-3-5 and was next to Darius Tallman and Job Briggs and was two away from Thomas Casey. He was a customer at the Duncan store in Dover.
Dorcas (Casey) Sweet died Nov. 1835 at age 86 and was bd. in the Quaker Hill Cemetery in Pawling. Her grave stone reads: "Dorcus Sweet, mother of Sarah Ferris, and dau. of Thomas and Alice Casey of Rhode Island, died 1835, Nov., age 86." [OGDC 182]. Stephen Sweet of Dover died 18 March 1808 per statement on Jonathan Hustis [no relationship found with quick search] of Dover He left widow Dorcas who with sons Thomas and Stephen Sweet, Jonathan Hustis and Thomas Casey were all on bond of $5,000 [DCW box 491].

(FamilySearch shows a Phoebe Sweet born 12 June 1787, just one month before Sarah. Bogus). No sources. She came showing father John Sweet and mother Dorcas Joanna Casey AND Stephen Sweet as father with Dorcas Joanna Casey. She was added with a merge. Orange County FS deleted the relationship as a duplicate with John Sweet, after a merge . Relationship was added Sep 12, 2012.)
My Research Summary: Dorcus Casey is not the Dorcas or Mary Dorcas that married Amos Sweet and had children with him including Sarah Grace Sweet Warren Wood. She is buried in the Quaker Cemetery in Pawling, Dutchess, New York. Stephen did not die until 1808, in Dover, Dutchess, NY, which rules out that this Dorcas would have had children with an Amos Sweet while Stephen was alive. Stephen is not listed with a headstone in the Quaker Cemetery Memorials on Find a Grave. There are no matches on Find a Grave for a Sweet in Pawlings that died in 1808.
