Benoni Sweet

:  Benoni Sweet was born 28 July 1755 in Rhode Island, and died in New York on 16 March 1848.  Info from Sons of the AR Membership Applications.
Benoni served in the fourth Regiment of the Lino under Col James Homes.  He helped to build Fort Putnam at West Point and was under Ethan Allan at the capture of Ft. Trconderoga.  Was on duty at Tappan when Maj Andre was hung.

Benoni married Jerusha Halstead born 1777 and died 1853.  They were married in 1805.
